IPACK-IMA is one of the most important international events in the industry of packaging, processing and material handling technology: a large system exhibition showcasing the very top technology and solutions in all food and non-food sectors for industry professionals from every corner of the world.
Here, technology suppliers and end-user companies meet to increase business, create value, share knowledge and expertise and promote innovation, giving birth to a large professional community.
In order to encourage discussion among the members of the community, IPACK-IMA has created a new and valuable communication tool: the Business Community (see "Join the business Community" section on this website's homepage) will bring together technology demand and offer according to different applications, helping both exhibitors and visitors in maximizing the benefits of their participation in IPACK-IMA.
IPACK-IMA 2012 will offer solutions and opportunities to create and develop future scenarios. A few examples include the Innovation Corner, an area dedicated to companies wishing to present their new products and services, and the Planning the Future area, a multidisciplinary project organized in cooperation with Conai involving universities, associations, research institutes and offering seminars, round table discussions and workshops.
IPACK-IMA 2012 is the place where the community it represents assembles and discusses on the occasion of an international convention dealing with technology as a means of ensuring food sustainability and safety. This event is part of a multi-year project started in 2009 with the convention "More technology, safety and quality, less hunger" organized with the support of the UN's food agencies: UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and WPF (World Food Programme).
This commitment is carried onto 2010 with the "IPACK-IMA days": Technology for Food Safety.
The project will continue in 2011 with a technological symposium staged in Africa dealing with the issues connected to Food Safety/Food Security.
